Film posters, Film Archive in Vienna
Description
Work on this box was one of the most challenging projects handled by our company.
Filmarchiv employees responsible for a collection of posters decided that it was necessary to replace the packaging used until then, which did not meet long-term archival standards. The old boxes were made of recycled (and probably acidic) corrugated board and spruce scantling. It would be hard to find a more flammable combination....
The new boxes maintained the format and functionality adapted to the original metal frames; however, they were produced using high-quality materials including even flame-resistant velcro tape. Spruce scantlings were replaced with cardboard profiles.
