We know very well that proper storage of collections is not an abstract matter, interesting only to a few archivists who work in inaccessible institutions. It is a matter of importance to all of us, as those who benefit from culture, as readers and as citizens. It is a matter of preserving cultural heritage for future generations. It is our cultural “to be or not to be.”
