Boxes with an opened front wall facilitate taking out of the documents without taking the box off the shelf. 

This type of box is recommended mainly for the storage of loose documents and folders with documents in horizontal position. This construction can also be chosen when there is a need to keep a single archival unit, e.g. one consisting of a few books of varying sizes, in one box. This solution is applied, among others, in diocesan archives, where particular boxes with an opened front wall are used to store various-sized register books from a particular parish.
