Archival box

Description

Archival box is the most common construction found in Polish archives. It is used to store loose documents and documents in folders. After opening the archival box, we have convenient access to the stored folders or individual documents and we can easily find an object we are looking for without the need to take out all the contents of the box. Our archival boxes are typically equipped with ventilation holes. At a client's wish, we can make a box without these holes. Sometimes, these holes are mistakenly taken for cutouts which serve as handles to take the box off a shelf - this misuse may damage the box. There are also sidelocks which safeguard against accidental opening of the box.

The box can be used for storage in both horizontal and vertical positions. However, if it is used to store loose documents, it must be positioned horizontally.
